Abstract

Instructions for installing the Voltage Regulator Module (VRM), 1U/75A in an xSeries 336.

To install a VRM:

  1. Ensure that the retention latches are open.

  2. Insert the VRM straight into the slot.

  3. Press down on both corners of the VRM at the same time until secured by the latches.

  4. Close the main cover:
    1. Position the cover over the chassis aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
    2. Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch to the closed position.
    3. Close the processor fan door and ensure that the latch is locked.
    4. Close the I/O fan door and ensure that the latch is locked.
