Abstract

Procedures for installing the hard disk drive from the eServer 325.

To install the hard disk drive

  1. Position the right rail on the side of the drive, aligning the screw holes and secure it with the two screws.
  2. Attach the left rail using the same procedure.
  3. Slide the drive into the bay until the rail latches snap into place.
  4. Connect the power and signal cables to the rear of the drive. Keep the cables clear of the airflow path of the fan behind the drive bays.

To install the front bezel:
Press it into place so that the retention tabs snap into the holes on the top, right side, and bottom of the server.

To install the USB option tray:
Insert the USB option tray into the slot below hard disk drive bay 1. Press up on the retention clip at the bottom rear of the tray, then slide the tray all the way into the slot.

To install the cover:
Position the cover on the chassis, and close the latch.
