Text description of floppy diskette drive and CD-ROM drive removal
To remove the CD-ROM/diskette drive assembly:
- Disconnect the signal cable from the system board.
- Disconnect the power cable from the interposer card.
- Loosen the thumbscrew, and slide the drives out.
- Remove the two screws to the interposer card, and disconnect the card.
- Flex the tray to release the locking tabs, and lift the CD-ROM drive off.
- Release the ZIF connector.
- Flex the tray to release the locking tabs, and lift off the diskette drive.
- Remove the cable assembly.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
