Abstract

IBM Integration Designer is a "one tool, one set of skills" solution for end-to-end integration in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Built on Eclipse, it enables the development of SOA-based business process management (BPM) and integration solutions across IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM WebSphere Adapters. Its rich features simplify integration and accelerate the adoption of SOA by rendering existing IT assets as service components, promoting reuse and efficiency.

The IBM Integration Designer 25.0.1.0 test environment includes IBM Workflow Server, enabling you to test and debug modules locally before deploying them to a production server.

This document describes how to download IBM Integration Designer 25.0.1.0 eAssembly images from the Passport Advantage website.

Downloading the relevant eAssembly images from the IBM Passport Advantage website

  1. Ensure that your workstation has sufficient space to store both the files you must download from IBM Passport Advantage and the extracted installation image.
  2. Go to IBM Passport Advantage.
  3. Sign in and download the images that you need to a temporary directory. The parts are listed by platform in the following table.
    Required and optional software is labeled in the table. Your need for parts depends on your usage and configuration choices.

  4. For IBM Integration Designer 25.0.1.0 multilingual, download all images and extract them to the same location.

    For IBM Integration Designer 25.0.1.0 test environment multilingual, unpack the .zip files into the same directory.
     

    From a command line, use either unzip or 7z and type 

    7z x IID_V25*.zip -y -o \IBM\temp\IID

    or

    mkdir \IBM\temp\IID 

    unzip IID_V25* -d \IBM\temp\IID

    The directory list should show the following content:

    autorun.bat
    autorun.inf
    disk1
    disk2
    disk3
    launchpad
    launchpad64.exe
    launchpad64.ini
    WTE_DISK

  5. Install IBM Integration Designer 25.0.1.0
  6. When the installation is complete, delete the \IBM\temp\IID directory.

Downloadable parts
You must extract the required packages to the same directory on your local system. If you do not extract them to the same directory, the Installation Manager fails with Java™ virtual machine (JVM) errors.
