Abstract
Overview and recommended levels
PowerHA 7.2.8 Service Pack 3 is now available for download as of July 2025.
NOTE: PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2.8 SP3 testing has been done on the following AIX levels and are recommended:
. AIX7.3 TL03 SP1
. AIX7.3 TL02 SP3
· AIX7.3 TL01 SP4
· AIX7.3 TL00 SP4
· AIX7.2 TL05 SP10
· AIX7.2 TL04 SP6
· AIX7.1 TL05 SP12

The Service Pack contains all the known fixes since 7.2.8 SP2 release. See the complete list of APARs included in the later section.
With an upgrade to AIX 7.2 version 7200-05-09-2446 (or above) and AIX 7.3 version 7300-03-00-2446 (or above), where OpenSSH has been upgraded to version 9.7, it is recommended to upgrade the PowerHA SystemMirror SW (including GUI) to version 7.2.9 or above.
Please note that with the AIX newer version, OpenSSH related upgrades are done which is creating incompatibilities with versions earlier than PowerHA SystemMirror GUI 7.2.9 release. In case, the PowerHA SystemMirror upgrade could not be performed immediately, then as a workaround or makeshift arrangement, ifix IJ55243s0a.250718.epkg.Z [A1103] could be applied on top of PowerHA SystemMirror releases prior to 7.2.9 to enable PowerHA SystemMirror GUI to work with latest AIX versions on an ad-hoc basis till a PowerHA SystemMirror upgrade (inclusive of GUI) is done to Release 7.2.9 or above.
