Customers installing IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7.1.6 Service Pack 1 are encouraged to read all tech notes before installing the Service Pack. The tables highlight key issues and related technical guidance for issues with 11.7.1.6 Service Pack 1. Information Services Director issues:

| Customers using AIX installations that use Information Services Director(ISD) should stop all running ISD jobs. ISD jobs in deployed state do not get undeployed and will cause errors during the install. All running instances of Information Services Director jobs should be stopped and undeployed as described in 3.3.7 of the install instructions. | Installation Instructions |
Datastage issues:

| Fixed unable to move temp file issue reported when creating hashed file. However, the change causes issues for the RESIZE command. Normally not expected to encounter, but possible particularly for jobs with hashed file stages. To workaround the above, set a System environment variable DSE_OLD_MKDB_BEHAVIOR, to 1 on Windows Engine tiers after installing or upgrading to 11.7.1.6. DSE_OLD_MKDB_BEHAVIOR disables the new code added for JR60729. A restart of DataStage services is required after adding the environment variable. | JR60729 |
