APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Validating the 270 transaction for "005010X279A1" Transaction
Type. As part of the implementation guide 2100B loop "REF -
INFORMATION RECEIVER ADDITIONAL IDENTIFICATION" segment
validation. When REF01 has HPI value and the REF03 has value
'TN', a 999 reject is expected from compliance map, but a 999
accepted is reported.

REF segment not rejected when REF01 = HPI and REF03 present

Problem conclusion

  • In 2100B, Information receiver loop in 5010x279 transaction 270
type trees corrected to fail if REF03 is present and REF01 is
NOT 0B for State License Number.

Applies to:
Healthcare Pack HIPAA 10.1.0, 10.2.0, 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.2.3
