How often is IBM Storage Insights updated? How can I know if Storage Insights has been updated? How do I know if my data collector version is current?
Answer
IBM Storage Insights is an IBM Cloud®™ service. Because it's a cloud service, IBM® manages and upgrades the service for you.
IBM Storage Insights is updated in a combination of monthly maintenance releases, and quarterly feature updates. A message is included in IBM Storage Insights each time an update occurs, but it is not easy to identify whether a particular update was applied after it is gone. A data collector is considered up to date as long as it shows as running. Otherwise, it will show as down-level or missing. The Data Collectors panel can help you identify the specific data collector version on the hosts and upgrade any down-level versions.
The reference information below identifies deployment dates and the data collector versions involved.
