Summary
When encountering issues during the execution of any Integrated Web Services (IWS) administration script in Qshell on the IBM i, follow these steps to gather verbose information to investigate your issue further.
Environment
IBM i OS 7.3 and later
Integrated Web Services (IWS) administration scripts in /QIBM/ProdData/OS/WebServices/bin
Steps
- Open a new 5250 session.
- ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_IWS_SERVICE_TRACE) VALUE(true) LEVEL(*SYS)
STRQSHcd /QIBM/ProdData/OS/WebServices/binExecute your IWS script.
i.e. listWebServicesServers.sh or installWebService.shPress F6 to print the scroll to a spooled file.- Review the /tmp/qiws_trace.log file and the Qshell QPRINT spooled file.
