How to make an etcd backup on Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S)?
Objective
- Create OpenShifti etcd backup
- Create Cloud Pak for Security backup
Steps
- Make note of the first node with role controller:
oc get nodes - Replace NODE_NAME with previous steps noted name:
oc debug node/NODE_NAME - Obtain node bash prompt:
chroot /host - Now run the backup script to start the backup:
NOTE: LOCATION is the fully qualified path location to store the backup./usr/local/bin/cluster-backup.sh LOCATION - Verify the return was successful with:
snapshot db and kube resources are successfully saved to LOCATION exitexit
