Abstract
This technical note provides guidance for downloading and installing the special 90-day trial of IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.1 for IBM Db2. It cannot be used for production purposes.

Download and install Guardium 12.1 for Db2
IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.1 for IBM Db2 is available for download as an ISO product image after you sign up for the trial. It requires a 90-day trial license to work.
Detailed guidance about how to install Guardium 12.1 for Db2 is available within the trial onboarding guide. Review the latest version of these release notes just before you install.
Attention
- This is a special, trial ISO file for current and potential IBM Db2 customers and cannot be used for production purposes.
- The trial license expires in 90 days from the point of installation of the license.
- Trial clients have an option to extend their trial for 1 more period of 90 days by applying an additional trial license (with the approval of your IBM representative).
- Previously accepted trial licenses that are currently expired will continue to appear on the License page as accepted licenses.
- Clients are not able to apply any regular Guardium licenses on top of this trial appliance.
Features
To simplify setup for Db2 clients, the Guardium 12.1 for Db2 ISO file has preset policies, dashboards, and reports. Details about the supported platforms and functionality of this trial license are explained within the trial onboarding guide.
