APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When executing a file in Z/os batch, an abend occurs when
    creating SYSUDUMP file. The sysudump is getting created when
    using the workfiles as USS, when switched to mainframe temporary
    files with VIO, sysdump is not getting created.

Problem summary

    output with /VX parameter
    
    Problem Description:
    Crash when creating a VB file with delimiter /VX.
    
    Platforms Affected:
    z/OS
    

Problem conclusion

  • Prevent crash in GTXA12 csect GCPVB when creating a VB output
    using a 2 character or more, /VX parameter. The save area would
    be corrupted making it difficult to determine the crash
    location. There was a boundary condition during output file
    creation, when the output workfile last read only had the last
    delimiter character value properly without throwing invalid
    command line error.
    
    Applies to:
    10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.1, 11.0.0.0, 11.0.1.0
    
    Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
