Abstract

This document describes how to download and install IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition Version 4.2 Fix Pack 22.

IBM® Tivoli® Network Manager IP Edition discovers networks, including layer 1 optical networks, and layer 2 and 3 IP networks.

From Fix Pack 17 onwards, you must install Python 3 before you upgrade to the current Fix Pack. You must install Python 3 on the server where the core components are installed. Supported versions of Python are from version 3.7 to 3.11 inclusive. For versions of Network Manager before Fix Pack 17, the required version of Python is Python 2 (not Python 3), version 2.6.6 or later on Linux® and version 2.7.5 or later on AIX®.

Download the appropriate files by using the links in the Download Package section below. Alternatively, log in to IBM Fix Central and search for IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition 4.2.0 Fix Pack 22: https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
Download and unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.

Supported languages

Those Network Manager parts that are multilingual are provided in the following languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Where there is any difference, the English version is the authoritative version.

Installation

Note that the files for this Fix Pack available from Fix Central are update-only. If you do not already have Network Manager installed, install the most recent Fix Pack from Passport Advantage at https://www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage/pao_customer.html and then install this Fix Pack to upgrade if necessary.

Post installation
