Abstract

On 9 December 2024, IBM released IBM® Maximo® Application Suite Manage Component patch 8.6.19. As with all patches, it is cumulative. In addition to the new fixes listed here, all fixes from earlier patches for this version are included.

DT394929 Mobile Inspection Form Numeric Field wrongly displays dot as the decimal separator.
DT395531 System UI Emojis stored in the database are not visible in Manage desktop, causing a "Non-displayable control characters" message to display.
DT395872 Asset templates Loading PLUSCTPASSET causes error BMXAA4176E - "Attribute LOCATION does not exist.".
DT396110 Mobile In Mobile Technician, the previous Work Order number is displayed on the Report Work page.
DT396836 Purchase orders A user approving a PO revision even though the revised PO no longer has a line for the obsolete item causes the message BMXAA5609I - "This action is not allowed since the item XXX is in Pending or Obsolete status at Item/Organization level." to display.
DT398270 Mobile When fixing errored transactions in the Inspection, the action button should have the correct label.
DT398687 Mobile Domain values are out of order in the Characteristic Meter.
DT398799 Mobile In the Technician RBA Work Log, the LogType displays all records because filtering by the Work Order's Site is not working.
DT399749 Item Master
In Item Master, filtering records and no records are returned causes a DB connection leak in the psdi.app.item.Item canToggleRotating class.
DT399762 Mobile Adding assets and locations to Tasks or multi/asset/loc of does not display Work Order Assets and Locations service addresses in the map or list in map view.
DT399896 Asset templates Assets created from Asset Templates with Classification do not have values copied from the CLASSSPEC.CS01 attribute to the ASSETSPEC.ES01 attribute.

Manual Changes
APAR Change instructions
Open Application Designer. 
1. Search for the JOBPLAN application, and open the record.
2. Click Export Application Definition, and save it as jobplan.xml.
3. Open jobplan.xml in a pure text editor.
4. Add the following two checkboxes to the section with id="main_grid2_1_sec1_row1_col1_sec1":

5. Add the following section directly below the section with id="main_grid3":

6. Save jobplan.xml.
7. Return to Application Designer, with the JOBPLAN application still open.
8. Click Import Application Definition.
9. Select the modified jobplan.xml. Click OK.
10. Log out and log back in.
 
Manually Installing the Patch
  • Log in to Maximo Application Suite Administration as an administrative user.
  • On the left, click Applications.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • In the dialog box, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • Under Activation configuration, click your workspace details page link.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • Under Configurations, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • In the Maximo Base line, under new version click the down arrow.
  • Select Version. Enter 8.6.20
  • Click Save.
