PH62969: ODBC SQL SERVER ADAPTER FOR LINUX IS NOT INSERTING EXPECTED DATA INTO THE DATABASE

Error description

• Attempting to insert data to a Microsoft SQL Server database
  using the ODBC SQL Server adapter, the expected data is not
  properly inserted.  If the output backup is enabled, it does
  indicate the output data is generated correctly.

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  IBM Transformation Extender database adapter users who are
  inserting multiple rows of data, which contain large size
  differences in input data after the prior row.
  
  Problem Description:
  Corrupted input data gets inserted in a database column when
  inserting multiple rows.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  All
  

Problem conclusion

• The database adapter rebinds the input data after a
  re-allocation occurs on a multi-row insert.  Before this fix,
  the old buffer was incorrectly getting re-used.  After this fix,
  correct data gets inserted into the column, particularly when
  the input data is significantly larger in size than the previous
  row of data.
  
  Applies to:
  10.1.0.3, 10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.1, 11.0.0.0
