Abstract

IBM Integration Designer is the "one tool, one set of skills" solution for end-to-end integration in your service-oriented architecture (SOA). Based on Eclipse, Integration Designer is a tool for building SOA-based business process management (BPM) and integration solutions across IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM WebSphere Adapters. It simplifies integration with rich features that accelerate the adoption of SOA by rendering existing IT assets as service components, encouraging reuse and efficiency.

The IBM Integration Designer 24.0.1.0 test environment includes the IBM Workflow Server. You can use the test environment to test and debug modules locally before you promote them to a production server.

This document describes how to download IBM Integration Designer 24.0.1.0 eAssembly images from the Passport Advantage website.

Downloading the relevant eAssembly images from the IBM Passport Advantage website

  1. Ensure that your workstation has sufficient space to store both the files you must download from IBM Passport Advantage and the extracted installation image.
  2. Go to the IBM Passport Advantage website.
  3. Sign in and download the images that you need to a temporary directory. The parts are listed by platform in the following table.
    Required and optional software is labeled in the table. Your need for parts depends on your usage and configuration choices.
  4. Go to the IBM Fix Central website. 
  5. Sign in and download the iid.24010.delta.repository.zip, workflow.24010.delta.repository.zip and recommended fixes.
    These single part .zip files are added to the repository and do not require unpacking. 
  6. To prepare the installation repository for IBM Integration Designer 24.0.1.0.
    1. Unpack the v24.0.0.0 downloaded images to the same directory. For IBM Integration Designer 24.0.0.0 test environment multilingual, unpack the .zip files into the same directory. From a command line, use either unzip or 7z and type: 

      7z x IID_V24*.zip -y -o \IBM\temp\IID
      or
      mkdir \IBM\temp\IID 
      unzip IID_V24* -d \IBM\temp\IID

      The directory list should show these contents:

      autorun.bat
      autorun.inf
      disk1
      disk2
      disk3
      launchpad
      launchpad64.exe
      launchpad64.ini
      WTE_DISK

  7. Install IBM Integration Designer 24.0.0.0 

  8. When the installation is complete, delete the \IBM\temp\IID directory.

Downloadable parts
You must extract these required packages to the same directory on your local system. If you do not extract them to the same directory, the Installation Manager fails with Java™ virtual machine (JVM) errors.
