Security Bulletin: IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container flows using Box are vulnerable to loss of confidentiality due to [CVE-2024-24758]

Node.js module undici is used by IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container for communicating with Box in the Box connector. IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container IntegrationServer and IntegrationRuntime operands that run flows using the Box connector are vulnerable to loss of confidentiality. This bulletin provides patch information to address the reported vulnerability in Node.js module undici. [CVE-2024-24758]

Vulnerability Details

CVEID:   CVE-2024-24758
DESCRIPTION:   Undici could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by improper neutralization of Proxy-Authentication headers. By conducting a cross-origin redirect attack, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.

Upgrade to App Connect Enterprise Certified Container Operator version 11.3.0 or higher, and ensure that all DesignerAuthoring, IntegrationServer and IntegrationRuntime components are at or higher.  Documentation on the upgrade process is available at
