Abstract

This document describes how to download and install IBM Netcool Operations Insight version 1.6.10, using the IBM Passport Advantage website.

Download Description

IBM Netcool Operations Insight integrates infrastructure and operations management into a single coherent structure across business applications, virtualized servers, network devices and protocols, internet protocols, and security and storage devices.

Downloading and assembling the solution

  1. Go to the Find Downloads and Media page on the IBM Passport Advantage Online website. You must log in with an IBM ID to continue.
  2. Under Download finder options, select the Find by part number search option.
  3. Search for each downloadable image by part number (part numbers are listed in this document).
  4. Download all of the parts that you need.
  5. Unpack each installation package into a separate temporary directory on your system.

Downloading fix packs for the solution

  1. Go to this page to identify the fix packs that you need for Netcool Operations Insight version 1.6.10.
  2. Go to the Fix Central website.
  3. Search for the fix pack by product name. You must log in with an IBM ID to continue.
  4. Download all of the fix packs that you need.
  5. Unpack each installation package into a separate temporary directory on your system.

Installing the solution

Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide at this location to install the solution. 

Refer to the following topic for more information on where to obtain downloads for each product and component.

The Event Search integration between Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus and IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis requires the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Insight Pack. Download the relevant version of this insight pack depending on the version of Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) and Operations Analytics - Log Analysis (OA-LA).

Topology Search integration

The Topology Search integration between Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, Network Manager, and IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis requires Network Manager Insight Pack 1.3.0.0 for IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis 1.3 English. The Insight Pack eImage (CNZ43EN) is contained within the IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis 1.3.7 package (G08LMEN).
