An SRC describes a system-detected hardware or software problem, or indicates system status during a long-running function. In most cases, you will need to contact your service representative to resolve problems identified by an SRC.
If your System i is operational:
Search for the SRC:
- Initial program load (IPL) SRC finder
- Logical partition (LPAR) SRC finder
- Reference Code finder
- Technical databases

SRC ranges 0xxxxxxx–9xxxxxxx: Hardware detected error
In the SRCs, 'x' denotes any hexadecimal character.

Search the technical databases
Search for an SRC in the Software Knowledge Base, PTF Cover Letters, or APAR database using the Search function within each database.
To find the most matches, specify "SRC" followed by all eight characters of the SRC in the format "SRC xxxxxxxx" (do not include spaces, dashes, or other symbols) and click Search.
