Known problems, restrictions, and solutions

  • The CreateDocuments () cannot be run more than once on an existing document structure. If it has to be called more than once, then call RemoveDocumentStructure action prior to calling the CreateDocument ()

Feature enhancements

  • Enhanced Rulerunner services to clear orphan registry entries when the matching batch is not found in the Engine database tables.
  • Enhanced Datacap Transactional Capture to expose the "Document from scanner" option in the "What do you want to save?" drop down field. This field is available under the General settings, when configuring Add Document by using Entry Template.
  • OCRPL Library has been extended to support Windows 2019 and 2022.

Prerequisites for IBM® Datacap Version 9.1.8, interim fix 004

Installing IBM® Datacap 9.1.8, interim fix 004

Download the 918 iFix 004 package from  Fix Central, extract it, and perform following steps.

Procedure
A - Steps to upgrade to 9.1.8 interim fix 004:

  1. Extract Datacap.zip and then execute the install.bat inside it.
  2. Once files are copied successfully, installation of interim fix will be initiated. Use the installer UI to complete the installation.
Note:
Ensure removal of any white space in file/folder paths. Paths cannot be accessed if there is space in path names.
B- Steps to install OCRPL Recognition
  1. Execute Setup.exe to install IBM Datacap OCRPL Recognition 9.1.8.3
  2. Users who have already installed OCRPL Recognition need to upgrade to a new version using OCRPL setup. For more information on installing OCRPL, see IBM Datacap OCRPL Recognition v9.1.8 Download document.
C - Steps to install High Speed Scannning:
  1. Extract High Speed Scanning.zip and run Setup.exe.
  2. If High speed Scanning is already installed on  your system, you can execute setup.exe and choose the appropriate option from modify, repair or remove.
Note: High Speed scanning must be installed on base version of Datacap 9.1.8.
D - Upgrading dynamic Web TWAIN to the latest version

Starting with Datacap 9.1.8 interim fix 002, Datacap 9.1.8 interim fix package includes Dynamsoft Service version 1.5.21215.
