To get the latest features and enhancements, it is required to update IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management from a previous version or release.

The Fix Central online website contains update files for IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management for download. The HTTP link in the section "Download package" directs to the Fix Central online website.

The images available through Fix Central do not contain license enablement files. You must install a base level package to use these images.

Download Package

  • Fix Central online website:
    Fix Central provides fixes and updates for your system's software, hardware, and operating system. Fix Central is a secure website that requires you to log in using your IBM ID. You can acquire an IBM ID for free at  Sign up to IBMid.
    You can locate images on the Fix Central online website by using the product name, version, and platform as the search query. For example, use the "IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management".
    Reminder: The images available through Fix Central do not contain license enablement files. Install previous a base level package before you use these packages.

  • Passport Advantage online website:
    Passport Advantage is a secure website that requires an account ID and password.
    To download and assemble the installation parts for IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management, complete the following steps:

    1. Go to IBM Passport Advantage Online, click Customer sign in, and sign in by using your IBM ID and password.
    2. On the Software and services online page, click Software download & media access.
    3. Use one of the search options under Browse your entitled software to find the link to one of the IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management products. The fulfilled program number for IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management is 5737-B34.
    4. On the product download page, ensure that the Required check box is selected, and then click Download. The table in section "Images on Passport Advantage online" contains the descriptions and part numbers of the parts for IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management.
    5. When the download is finished, extract the IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management OVA template file into a single dedicated directory.
    6. To install the product as a virtual appliance, follow the instructions in the IBM Spectrum Copy Data Management User's Guide.
