*****NOTICE*****************NOTICE*****************NOTICE*****
If you are upgrading from a previous version of Content Manager OnDemand, there are minimum server version requirements for your source system. Reference the Read This First document at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6555384 to check the minimum server version of Content Manager OnDemand that you must be running before upgrading to Content Manager OnDemand for i V7.5. To check your server version, see the technote at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/488939.

Content Manager OnDemand for i V7.5 supports a minimum version of OnDemand client and OnDemand Administrator client software, based on the server version of Content Manager OnDemand for i. See the client/server compatibility matrix at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/391489 to confirm that you are running a compatible version of the OnDemand client and OnDemand Administrator client for your server version.

Starting an instance or starting the Archived Storage Management (ASM) process for the first time after upgrading to V7.5 might take longer than usual. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THIS PROCESS BE ALLOWED TO RUN TO COMPLETION!

Important: Reference the Read This First at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6555384 for further information about the considerations of running V7.5 of Content Manager OnDemand for i at each of the different server versions.

You can display the Content Manager OnDemand PTFs on your IBM i system by using the command "DSPPTF 5770RD1". Compare the PTFs on this list with the PTFs on your IBM i system and order the PTFs you do not have for the components you have installed (Base, PDF Indexer, and so on). All customers must install the PTFs for Base.
Base  - Base code; required for all components
PDF   - Option 12, PDF Indexer
ERM   - Option 14, Enhanced Retention Management
ODF   - Option 15, OnDemand Distribution Facility
ODWEK - Included in Base, Content Manager OnDemand Web Enablement Kit

Review all PTF cover letters before applying PTFs. During PTF application, exclusive access to some Content Manager OnDemand files may be required. Make sure that Content Manager OnDemand is not in use while applying PTFs. End all monitors; end ASM or DSM; and then end ALL of the active Content Manager OnDemand server programs by using the command ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*ONDMD) INSTANCE(*ALL).

For the latest 5770-RD1 PTFs, order PTF Group SF99669. The current level for PTF Group SF99669 is Level 14, which brings your Content Manager OnDemand system to server version 10.5.0.10 See https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/278855 for more information about ordering this PTF Group.

You can use the Work with PTF Groups (WRKPTFGRP) command to check which level of SF99669 is installed on your system. A listing of the current PTFs for PTF Group SF99669 can be found at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6584457. There is a hot link on each PTF that allows you to view its cover letter (which includes a description of the APAR fix).

Below is a list of all the non-superseded PTFs that will bring Content Manager OnDemand for i to the current server version, which is 10.5.0.10. All PTFs listed below are included in the latest PTF Group except those PTFs otherwise indicated with an asterisk (*):

More information about PTFs, especially the PTFs not included in the Content Manager OnDemand PTF Group, can be found in the PTF cover letters, which are available at the website https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/access-ptf-cover-letters. For a complete list of Server PTFs for Content Manager OnDemand for i, refer to the technote at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/392029.

Normally, PTFs for Content Manager OnDemand for i do not require an IPL. However, if you use a value other than DELAYED(*NO), which is the default value on the Apply PTF (APYPTF) command, an IPL might be required to fully apply the PTFs. With DELAYED(*NO), all that is required is to end all Content Manager OnDemand activities before applying the PTFs.  For example, end all monitors, end ASM and DSM, and then end ALL of the active Content Manager OnDemand server programs by using the command ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*ONDMD) INSTANCE(*ALL).

After the APYPTF command completes, you can restart your Content Manager OnDemand instance servers. Starting an instance or starting the ASM process for the first time after applying PTFs might take longer than usual if the server version changed. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THIS PROCESS BE ALLOWED TO RUN TO COMPLETION!
