IBM Spectrum Protect for Databases 8.1.13 contains the following components:

• Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server 8.1.13
• Data Protection for for Oracle 8.1.13

Customers who already use a component at the 8.1.0.x level can download 8.1.13 from either of the following sources:

• the FTP website used to deliver maintenance packages
• the Passport Advantage Online website

Tip: Customers who do not already use a component at the 8.1.0.x level must obtain a base image, with license enablement file, from the the Passport Advantage Online website.

Maintenance Packages via the FTP Website for Maintenance

All Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server and Data Protection for Oracle maintenance packages can be accessed using the FTP website for maintenance deliveries.

However, these maintenance update packages require an existing 8.1.x installation on the machine before applying them because the maintenance update packages do not contain the license enablement files required for use of the component. If this is your initial installation of Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server or Data Protection for Oracle on a host, you must obtain your packages, with the associated license enablement file, from the Passport Advantage Online website.

The maintenance update packages, without license enablement file, can be obtained from the following locations:

Data Protection for Oracle
