How to Obtain AIX Service Pack 7100-05-09-2136

AIX Service Pack 7100-05-09-2136 can be obtained from the Fix packs section of the Fix Central website.

It can also be downloaded through the Service Update Management Assistant (SUMA). 

For systems already running Technology Level 7100-05, the following SUMA command downloads the Service Pack images to the current directory.

# suma -x -a RqType=SP -a RqName=7100-05-09-2136 -a FilterML=7100-05 -a DLTarget=$PWD

For AIX 7.1 systems running earlier Technology Levels, the following SUMA command downloads both the Service Pack images and the Technology Level 7100-05 images to the current directory.

# suma -x -a RqType=SP -a RqName=7100-05-09-2136 -a FilterML=7100-00 -a DLTarget=$PWD

Installation Tips

Installation

To install all updates from this package that apply to installed file sets on your system, run:
# smit update_all
A system reboot is required after the installation completes successfully.

To verify that Service Pack 7100-05-09-2136 is installed, use the oslevel command.

# oslevel -s
7100-05-09-2136
