IBM Support

Long term support for SAP customers running Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows

News

Abstract

IBM extends support commitment for Db2 LUW under SAP solutions through at least 2030.

Content

SAP applications are tightly integrated with Db2, and benefit from joint development and support investments by IBM and SAP. Continuing this long running partnership to provide a best-in-class database platform for SAP solutions, IBM has announced that Db2 LUW databases, either Db2 11.5 or a subsequent release, will be supported under SAP applications until at least 2030.

This extends the previously announced service life of Db2 LUW databases by a minimum of five years, providing clarity to both new and existing customers on the long term commitment of IBM to their SAP Solutions. IBM continues to invest in new technology to optimize Db2 for SAP environments, as well as in integration, certification, and technical support.

As part of the shared commitment to customer success by IBM and SAP, issue resolution for Db2 under SAP solutions will continue to be provided through the SAP support portal.
