APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After configuring the HA Group for IBM MQ RDQM, the rdqmstatus
    command reports the HA status
as normal on one node, but unknown on the other two. File
permissions on the following two files were incorrectly set to
    600:

    /etc/corosync/corosync.conf
    /etc/drbd.d/

Local fix

  • Set the file permissions of these two files to 644.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All MQ users using Replicated Data Queue Managers.

    Platforms affected:
    Linux on x86-64

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
During execution of the scripts that set up Replicated Data
Queue Managers (RDQM), file permissions are not set correctly on
the directory that stores their configuration information.
Hence, when the status of the newly created RDQM is verified
with rdqmstatus command it incorrectly shows the status as
UNKNOWN although the state of the RDQM is good.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to assign global read permission for
all users on the directories used by RQDM.
