Error description

  • In a system under heavy load, it is possible that the total row
counts consumed and produced by a job run that get recorded in
the ODB, and displayed on the Ops Console GUI, are lower than
the actual counts for the run. The row counts are updated in the
files that the Director uses, but in this loaded situation
updates may occur some time after the run has actually
finished;. In this case the ODB misses these later updates. The
situation seems most likely to be encountered on when the engine
is running on a Windows server.

Local fix

  • Viewing the run in the Director's Monitor window will show the
correct numbers, provided that the window is opened some time
after the run has actually finished.

Problem summary

  • Viewing the run in the Director's Monitor window will show the
correct numbers, provided that the window is opened some time
