InfoSphere Information Server, Version 9.1.2 includes fixes for product modules and components: ASB Packs, Business Glossary, Connectivity, Balance Optimizer, DataStage, DataStage Engine, DataStage Mainframe, DataStage Parallel Engine, Fast Track, Information Analyzer, Install, Information Services Director, Information Server Framework, Information Server Tools, Metadata Asset Manager and Metadata Integration Bridges, Metadata Workbench, Metadata Common Services, Quality Stage, XML Pack, DataClick, and ODBC Drivers.

Information Server 9.1.2 may be downloaded from Fix Central using the link in the Download package section of this document. Within Fix Central, choose the package for the platform on which your services and engine tiers are installed. Fix Central will automatically determine the proper requisite packages you need, including those packages that are necessary for the client tier. Use this checklist to validate that your download from Fix Central is complete and you have all the necessary files to perform the installation. Fix Central will direct you to the latest available DataDirect drivers for your platform. The specific level that is available will not be denoted in this checklist. This checklist will designate xxxxxx as the level, please refer to Fix Central for the full version/level number. 9.1.2 may be installed as a Fix Pack to existing Information Server 9.1 and Information Server 9.1 Fix Pack 1 environments. 9.1.2 is also available as a full suite image downloadable from IBM Passport Advantage.

Information Server 9.1.2 contains all fixes as documented in the 9.1 Fix Pack 1 Fix List. For a full list of fixes contained in Information Server 9.1.2, please reference the 9.1.2 Fix List. This refresh includes APAR JR48433. That APAR addresses an issue when upgrading WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Version 7.0 to 7.0.0.25 or later; WAS Version 8.0 to version 8.0.0.5 or later, or WAS Version 8.5 to version 8.5.0.1 or later. The 9.1.2 refresh can be identified by looking at the Version.xml to see if Information Server 9.1.2.0 Modpack Respin has been installed or by unzipping the .ispkg file of the 9.1.2 installation image and looking at the Description element of the PatchManifest.xml file. The respun package will have a description field similar to:

WARNING:
If you installed 9.1.2 prior to this re-spin, you must install APAR JR48433 prior to or after upgrading WebSphere Application Server to one of the versions mentioned above.
