Abstract

OSP-MSGCPF180E CRTNWSD OF *ESX WITH CLUSTER ADMIN

Error Description

Creation of ESX NWSD with cluster administration gets errors
related to switching the job CCSID due to running in a secondary
thread.

Problem Summary

When using cluster administration to replicate an ESX NWSD to
another node, a couple errors are received.
CPF180E - Coded character set ID not changed.
CPF1893 - Errors occurred while changing job.
The secondary level text for CPF180E states the reason the CCSID
was not changed is because the coded character set ID cannot be
changed in a job that has secondary threads active.

Problem Conclusion

The creation of an NWSD creates the directory
'/QIBM/UserData/IntegratedOS/ESX/nwsdname'.  To create the
directory correctly requires that the job is running with CCSID
37 EBCDIC.  Since a job that is running in a secondary thread
cannot be changed, the code will only create the directories if
the job is running as a primary thread.  If the directories are
not available during a vary on request, then the directories
willl be creaed at that time.
