Moving a primary DNS server to a different system
This article describes a procedure to move a primary DNS server to another system. Although moving a primary DNS server from one system to another can be done quickly, the original primary DNS server has to stopped until the database file transfer is finished.
Restricting IP interfaces used by servers
TCP/IP filter rules can be used to selectively permit or deny TCP/IP packets based on IP addresses and TCP or UDP ports. This filtering can allow you to restrict servers to specific IP addresses with appropriate filter rules if the server does not provide this option.
