Abstract
Changes to the ftp hostnames and ip addresses are being implemented to transfer documentation to IBM Support.
Content
Aligning with IBMs commitment to quality, security and highest standards, changes to the ftp hostnames and ip addresses are being implemented. For details about the changes and recommended actions, please see the announcement by the Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep) team: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7161911. Action required before 10 March 2025.
Current available hostnames and ip addresses:
- HTTPS:
www.secure.ecurep.ibm.com (192.109.81.21)
www.ap.ecurep.ibm.com (169.56.38.170)
testcase.boulder.ibm.com (170.225.126.22) - FTPS:
ftps.ecurep.ibm.com (192.109.81.10)
ftps.ap.ecurep.ibm.com (169.56.38.162)
testcase.boulder.ibm.com (170.225.126.22) - SFTP:
sftp.ecurep.ibm.com (192.109.81.25)
sftp.ap.ecurep.ibm.com (169.56.38.163)
testcase.boulder.ibm.com (170.225.126.22)
REVISED: Starting 29 October 2024, additional hostnames and ip addresses will be implemented and available for use. Please start utilizing them based on the protocol being used for data transfer. Static ip addresses are not intended for use. The ip with the fastest response time will be used. Ensure any firewalls in place are updated to allow connectivity. PDUU APAR OA66961 will be necessary to accept the new hostname.
- HTTPS: www.ecurep.ibm.com - new hostname/new ip addresses as of 29 October 2024
192.148.6.11
2620:1f7:c010:1:1:1:1:11 - FTPS: ftps.ecurep.ibm.com – existing hostname/new ip addresses as of 10 March 2025
149.81.237.70
52.118.103.99
165.192.140.113 - SFTP: sftp.ecurep.ibm.com – existing hostname/new ip addresses as of 10 March 2025
149.81.237.70
52.118.103.99
165.192.140.113
Effective 10 March 2025, ONLY the REVISED hostnames and ip addresses will be available for use. Documentation transferred using any of the old (current) hostnames and ip addresses will fail and will not be available to support personnel for analysis.
To transfer documentation to IBM Support, use the hostname based on the protocol and place files in /toibm/mvs/ directory.
- HTTPS: www.ecurep.ibm.com
- FTPS: ftps.ecurep.ibm.com
- SFTP: sftp.ecurep.ibm.com
Use AMAPDUPL PDUU (z/OS Problem Documentation Upload Utility) with an IBM Support File Transfer ID (https://www.secure.ecurep.ibm.com/transferids/) using FTPS or HTTPS. Example JCL jobs for PDUU can be found here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6611213.
If not using PDUU:
- Compress your dataset using AMATERSE.
- Transfer in BINary to the hostname and directory using your IBM Support File Transfer ID.
- PUT the file using your case number as the start of the file name, and TRS as the extension: TSxxxxxxxxx.short.description.TRS
Files can also be sent from a workstation as a case attachment.
