IBM Robotic Process Automation (IBM RPA) follows the Continuous Delivery Lifecycle Policy

Overview

The Continuous Delivery Lifecycle Policy allows some product-specific flexibility while still setting a consistent base expectation for support.  The following details provide additional information specific to IBM Robotic Process Automation (formally known as IBM Robotic Process Automation with WDG Automation).

Important support policy details

Versioning Model
IBM Robotic Process Automation v30 follows a loose semantic versioning scheme.  When the number to the right of the decimal changes (the typical release indicator), it simply represents an update package.  The lifecycle is not reset by delivery of these updates.


Policy details

IBM Robotic Process Automation: 

  • Provides support for a minimum of 2 years
  • Provides fixes for the 2 most recent LTSR updates (23.0.20 and 30.0.0)
  • Releases 30.0.x and 23.0.20: Provide fixes for the two most current update packages for each release
  • Releases 30.0.1 and all following releases: Provide fixes for the most current update packages for each release
  • Provides a 1-year minimum support extension at the beginning of the extended support date

Support and fix availability 

v30
IBM Robotic Process Automation v30.0.x is the current latest version release. Interim fixes will only be provided for the base version (30.0.0) and v23.0.20, as described in our Policy Details section. Please refer to this link for the comprehensive list of versions v30.0.x available.

IBM Robotic Process Automation v23.0.20.x is the long-term support version release. This version will go into extended support on September 30, 2026.

IBM Robotic Process Automation v21.x reached paid extended support on April 30, 2025. Extended support is available on a paid basis until April 30, 2029. Talk to your sales representative if you need extended support, or you can upgrade to a supported version.

v20 - (End of Support 30 April 2023):


IBM Robotic Process Automation v20.x reached the End of Support on April 30th, 2023. In order to get support for the product, you can either update to v23.0.20.x or v30.0.x.
