Abstract

This document describes how to download IBM® Maximo® Application Suite 8.0.0 by using the IBM Passport Advantage web site, and how to get the product entitlement key from the IBM Container Library.

Download Description

To download the required components:

Download your entitled Maximo Application Suite packages.
1. Go to the Passport Advantage® Online for customers website.
2. Sign in with a user ID that has software download rights for your company's Passport Advantage entitlement.
3. Use the Find by brand option to locate the Maximo Application Suite product by searching for the part number, D28B4LL, or the product name, IBM Maximo Application Suite.
4. Download your entitled software:
  - Maximo Application Suite V8.0 for Multiplatform English (CC75FEN.zip)
  - IBM Cloud Pak for Data Enterprise Edition - Product Offering, Install, and Services Multiplatform English (CC62IEN.zip)
  - IBM Cloud Pak for Data Enterprise Edition - Portworx Multiplatform English (CC648EN.zip)
  - IBM Cloud Pak for Data Enterprise Edition – Common Services (for Red Hat OpenShift 3.11) Multiplatform English (CC649EN.zip)
  - IBM Cloud Pak for Data Readme (For Red Hat OpenShift and Enterprise Linux) Multiplatform English (CC62LEN.zip)
  - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7 English Only (CC4KJEN.zip)
  - IBM Red Hat OpenShift 3.11 English Only (CC3KEEN.zip)*
    *The IBM Red Hat OpenShift 3.11 package is not required for installing IBM Red Hat OpenShift 4.3. See the Prerequisites section for more information.
Obtain the entitlement key for the IBM Entitled Registry.
The Maximo Application Suite software is available from IBM Entitled Registry and are automatically downloaded by the installer. You must export your entitlement key before you run the installer.
To obtain an entitlement key for the IBM Maximo Application Suite, complete the following steps:
1. Log in to the IBM Container Library with a user ID that has software download rights for your company's Passport Advantage entitlement.
2. Your entitlement key is displayed in the Container software library.
  If you do not see the key, from the left menu bar, select Get entitlement key.
3. Under the Access your container software heading, click Copy key.
4. Copy the key to a safe location.

To confirm that your entitlement key is valid for IBM Maximo Application Suite, in the Container software library, select View library on the left menu bar to see the list of products that you are entitled to. If IBM Maximo Application Suite is not listed, or if the View library link is not selectable, the identity with which you are logged in to the container library does not have entitlement for IBM Maximo Application Suite. In this case, the entitlement key is not valid for installing the software.

Prerequisites

Before you begin the installation process, you must make sure that the system requirements are met.

Environment requirements and software dependencies

Maximo Application Suite runs on Red Hat® OpenShift® 4.3. For installation instructions, see the "Installing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.3" section of the CP4D_EE_Readme.docx document that is included with the IBM Cloud Pak for Data Readme package.

Installation Instructions

The installation process consists of the following steps:

Install Maximo Application Suite on OpenShift.
Follow the installation process to install Maximo Application Suite on Red Hat OpenShift.
Complete the Maximo Application Suite setup.
To finish the installation you must now complete the Maximo Application Suite setup.
