Known problems and their workarounds (if any)

This section outlines the known problems and their workarounds (if any).

Using XML rulesets with the ODMRules Node and Java Compute Node in 10.1.0.3

When executing decision engine XML rulesets on z/OS the IBM Operational Decision Manager APAR PH59551 must be applied to the IBM Operational Decision Manager 8.11 installation that is set in the ODMServer configurable service 'odmJarsURL' property.

If the APAR is not applied then the following exception is seen when the ruleset execution is attempted:

ilog.rules.res.session.IlrSessionCreationException: An error occurred
while the rule session was created.' with a root exception of 'com.ibm.rules.engine.util.EngineInternalErrorException

Execution of classic engine XML rulesets or decision engine java rulesets are not affected by this APAR.

The following exception

ilog.rules.res.session.IlrSessionCreationException: An error occurred while the rule session was created.

may also be seen if ruleset execution is attempted with the APAR applied, but when attempting to use rulesets that have not been compiled  using the same version of ODM set in the ODMServer configurable service 'odmJarsURL' property.  Alongside this error a BIP4113W warning of an ODM engine and ruleset version mismatch will be issued to the system log. To resolve this rebuild the rulesets using the same version of ODM as being used at runtime.

Connecting to remote integration nodes with SSL (#92644)
Attempting to connect to a remote integration node with the 'Use SSL’ option set fails. The connection request fails with the error message ‘400 Bad Request’. Engage with service to request fix for APAR PH51436
