End of Support (EOS) dates
The unsupported software release will have a 6-month grace period after the publication of this document to upgrade to a supported release. Failure to do so will result in a gap in support coverage that will only be restored after the system is upgraded to a support release. No bug fixes, security fixes, troubleshooting, or root-cause analysis will be available for a Cloud Pak for Data System release after the published end-of-support date. Support's only response to software issues with these releases will be to "upgrade to a supported release at your earliest convenience".
Final Fix (FF) dates
Final Fix dates give notification that no new bug fixes will be executed or back ported to the release stream under consideration as of the stated final fix date. If a final fix date has been published but the release in question has not yet reached EOS, troubleshooting and root-cause investigation will proceed as usual, but the fix will be provided with the next software version release.
To provide maximum transparency, release schedule dates and guidelines are provided. They are intended to assist you track how long a specific version is expected to be supported, allowing you to effectively plan your investment and avoid any gaps in support. IBM maintains the right to make exceptions to any or all published dates and guidelines in the event of a conflict that requires a change.
