Abstract
This document explains the support model for IBM App Connect Enterprise. This provides a summary of product versions in the market at the time of publication and documents the Support Eligibility for each version.
Content
To deliver new capabilities and to meet market demand, IBM App Connect follows the IBM Enhanced support model unless otherwise denoted in this article. It is highly recommended to read the following articles to learn about the details of the Enhanced lifecycle policy.

The IBM Software Product Compatibility Reports is referenced to identify the latest list of Releases, as well as system requirements.
IBM recommends staying current within the service stream to benefit from any new capabilities, general fixes, and security fixes. See the V13 changes to IBM App Connect Enterprise's maintenance delivery model page.
NOTE: z/OS offerings are unaffected at this current time so IBM Integration Bus (IIB) for z/OS V10.1 base support remains for 5 years support and 3 years extended support. IIB for z/OS V10.1 Base Support date is to be determined; Extended Support is available for purchase for 3 years after completion of base support.
IBM App Connect Enterprise Versions in Base Support
IBM App Connect Enterprise has two major versions in the market: V13 and V12. The previous versions, App Connect Enterprise v11 and IBM Integration Bus V10 have now completed base support and transitioned to extended support (see the table).
IBM App Connect V13.0.x
App Connect V13 is the latest product release stream. New functionality, security updates and defect fixes are delivered in regular Modification Releases. V13 uses the V.R.M.F format (where “M” is the Modification) for product numbering described here. For lifecycle dates, see: Product lifecycle page for IBM APP Connect 13.0.x.
Security updates, defect fixes, features, enhancements, and currency of 3rd party packages are provided. Modifications are published on Fix Central and Passport Advantage.
IBM App Connect V12.0.x
App Connect V12 provides on-going maintenance at periodic intervals that use fix packs, following the V.R.M.F format (where “F” is the Fixpack) for product numbering described here. For lifecycle dates, see: Product lifecycle page for IBM APP Connect 12.0.x.
For V12, security updates, defect fixes, features, enhancements, and currency of 3rd party packages are provided. Fix packs are published on Fix Central.
IBM App Connect Enterprise Versions transitioned from Base Support
IBM App Connect Enterprise V11 and Integration Bus V10 have reached Base Support Completion and are no longer receiving code or security fixes. IBM App Connect Enterprise V13 is recommended for all new deployments and upgrades.
IBM App Connect V11.0.x
IBM App Connect Enterprise V11 Started Extended Support on 30-Apr-2024. Extended Support is available for purchase for 2 years until 30-Apr-2026. Contact your IBM Sales Representative to request an extended support quote.
Existing fix packs are published on Fix Central.
IBM Integration Bus V10
IBM Integration Bus V10 Started Extended Support on 30-Apr-2022. Extended Support was available for purchase for 3 years until 30-Apr-2025. If you plan to continue to run V10 beyond 30-Apr-2025 and you have questions about support options, please contact your IBM Sales Representative.

Usage and Known Defects support limitation
The Usage and Known Defects support limitation enables continued access to IBM Support for "how to" questions, usage issues and known defects published in IBM Fix Central, and potentially requires purchase of Extended Support.
Post Published Lifecycle
We understand special circumstances can delay your ability to move to new versions, perhaps even beyond the support time frame for any product. If you find yourself in this kind of situation, please contact your IBM Sales Representative, preferably prior to the end of the existing support period for the product of interest. We want to work with you to ensure your critical business systems are supported by IBM’s unique experience and abilities. As a software customer of IBM, you should never have to feel like you’re ‘going it alone’.
Support Eligibility
Eligibility to receive product and code fixes is limited to versions that are in their Base Support lifecycle phase. Eligibility to receive general product support (how-to problems, and identification of existing code defects or security issues and so on) varies by version and is described in the table.
