Abstract

Information about IASPs can now be displayed for each system.
A selected IASP can be used in addition to *SYSBAS for the IBM i connection for IBM Navigator queries.

Content

1.  Add available IASPs to display on home page
2.  Add an IASP to the IBM i connection (in addition to *SYSBAS).

Add Available IASPs for a system to display statistics on Home page
  • For the GUI node, use the "Home" icon on the left and select Properties.
  • For any managed node, select that system to open the action list of icons.  Use the "Home" icon on the left for the managed node, and select Properties
Go to the system Home > Properties panel
Home > Properties
Select the 'IASP' tab:
select IASP and move to display column

All IASPs in Available status on this node are shown.  Select IASPs and move to the ‘Selected IASPs’ list.

Go back to Home Page to view IASP information:
system home page provides IASP statistics
The statistics of IASPs in the ‘Selected IASPs’ list (from Home -> Properties -> IASP tab) are shown on the home page, with some delay for the interval.

Include a selected IASP for the IBM i connection
Using the Home > Properties action, select the "IASP" tab
Select IASP for IBM i connection
Choose an IASP to include on the IBM i connection.  SQL services run by IBM Navigator for i will now utilize the IASP in addition to *SYSBAS.
  • Only one IASP may be selected at a time in addition to *SYSBAS
  • Selecting *SYSBAS will exclude any previously selected IASP
  • This property setting only affects JDBC connections, meaning that it only affects the SQL services run by IBM Navigator for i.
