Resolving The Problem
The process to reset your password depends on how you log into Blueworks Live. Blueworks Live has three types of authentication methods: IBMid, SSO, and Blueworks Live ID.
1. If you use IBMid to log into Blueworks Live, your password must be reset within the IBMid application itself and cannot be reset from Blueworks Live. Click the Link to request a password change: https://www.ibm.com/account/reg/us-en/reset-password or contact the IBMid help desk for further help https://www.ibm.com/ibmid/myibm/help/us/helpdesk.html .
2. If you use corporate SSO, then your password is not stored in Blueworks Live and there is nothing to reset within your Blueworks Live account.
The password you are using is your corporate password. If you have trouble logging in, contact your account administrators.
3. If you use Blueworks Live user, you can reset your own password:
-
Log into your account.
-
Click your name in the upper right corner of the Blueworks Live display.
-
The My User Settings dialog displays. Reset your password in that dialog.
If you cannot log in, then on the Blueworks Live web login page you can click the link "Trouble Logging In?" it takes you to a https://www.blueworkslive.com/selfadmin/loginhelp/request page. The url in the reset password email is only good for 1 hour. If you clicked the link after it had already expired, do another reset.
The Blueworks Live system will lock a user ID only after the user enters the wrong ID three times in a row.
See here http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ibm10788065& to unlock your user ID and reset your password.
Finally, if your account admin is not available or not known, you need to open a case with the Blueworks Live support team to unlock your user ID and reset your password: https://www.ibm.com/mysupport
Please note: You must open a case for the password reset. IBM Support cannot reset your password in a Live Chat, or do a delegated password reset, because there is no secure way to verify identity.
