How to check the content of a PTF order?
Answer
Order/download method:
- Fix central - 'Download individual fixes directly to my system':
- You can check the PTFs included as a result of the order under the 'Order summary' > 'Ordered fixes'
- This is valid for individual PTFs and for PTF Groups
- Fix central - 'Download virtual images using Download Director':
- You could check what PTFs are included as a result of the order in the respective text file that gets created as well with your order. The name of the text file starts with the leter 'S' and usually the last 4 digits from the COER# number of your order (example - for COER# number of 'H68530275' - the text file name would be - 'S0275.txt').
- The text file will also have a 'Reason PTF Listed' colomn which indicates if the PTF was included in the list as a result of being ordered, or, for example, if its a requisite PTF.
- This is valid for any individual PTF or a PTF Group order with the exception of the cumulative package. The listing of PTF included in a cume are listed in the 'Listing of PTFs on the Current Cumulative PTF Package' PSP. The text file documents: "Cumulative Package PTFs are not included in this list of PTFs. If your order includes a Cumulative Package, see the Cumulative Package installation instructions for details on listing the package contents."
- Fix central - 'Download virtual images using FTPS/SFTP':
- You could check what PTFs are included as a result of the order in the respective text file that gets created as well with your order. The name of the text file is usually - "ilst_PTF_Group_ID.txt". Similar to the text file when using the 'Download Director' option - it will include a message saying that the Cumulative Package PTFs are not included in this list of PTFs. The 2nd and the 3rd email (total of 3 when using this PTF order option) also have all of the ordered PTFs resulting from the PTF Group order.
Notes:

2. When ordering a PTF Group - you can review the PTFs included in the group by clicking on the 'Cover letter' link on the 'Select fixes' page after the 'Identify fixes' page in Fix central.
