News

Abstract

End of support for Java 6 for use with TDI 7.1.1 and TDI 7.1

Content

Effective June 30 2018, Java 6 for TDI 7.1.1 and TDI 7.1 will not be supported.

TDI 7.1 customers are encouraged to move to Java 7.

TDI 7.1.1 customers are encouraged to move to Java 7 or Java 8.

End of support for Java 6 for TDI 7.1.1 and TDI 7.1 means you can't get updates or fixes for Java problems such as security vulnerabilities. Staying on the Java 6 level could leave applications exposed to future issues. To ensure your applications are running in supported environment for years to come, we recommend moving to the latest Java 7 or Java 8. Migration to a newer version of Java will help customers move away from aging crypto technologies and avoid the risks of non-addressed future security exposures .

The latest version of Java 7 and Java 8 for use with TDI are available on Fix Central :https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
