Troubleshooting


Problem

This document describes the process for collecting data for problems with the IBM Maximo Application Suite - Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) for attachments.

Collecting this MustGather information helps understand the problem and save time analyzing the data.

Collect the following information from MAS Console:
1. Go to MAS console > Workspace > Manage.
2. In the upper-right side, click "Actions" button.
3. Select "Update Configurations".
4. Select the edit button/pencil in Persistent volume claims (PVCs) option.
5. Collect the following:
    5a. PVC name
    5b. Size
    5c. Mount path
    5d. Storage class name
 
Collect the following system properties in Manage application:
  • mxe.doclink.doctypes.defpath
  • mxe.doclink.doctypes.topLevelPaths
  • mxe.doclink.path01
  • mxe.doclink.securedAttachment

The main goal of these documents is to ensure correct configuration of Maximo/Manage system properties for PVC usage.

To troubleshoot PVC attachment issues, please collect answers to the following:

  • Details of the environment where the issue is occurring.
  • Was this environment upgraded from Maximo 7.6?
  • Were documents migrated from Maximo 7.6?
  • Are the doclinks system properties in Manage properly configured with the PVC on the MAS side?
  • Is the mxe.doclink.securedAttachment property set to true?
  • Are you receiving any error messages when attempting to open the attachment?
  • What internet browser is being used?
  • Does the issue also occur in a different browser?
  • Has the user cleared the browser cache and retried?
  • Is the PVC created and showing status Bound in OpenShift?
