Abstract

OSP-OTHER-UNPRED INDEPENDENT ASP DIRECTORY NOT DELETED

Error Description

In a DB2 Mirror environment an independent ASP (IASP) containing
user-defined file systems was registered and was varied on to
the server file system (SFS) of a Db2 Mirror pair. An IPL was
performed on the client file system (CFS) of that pair. After
the IPL was complete a vary off was done of the IASP on the SFS.
After the vary off completed the IASP mount over directory still
existed on the CFS. The mount over directory doesn't exist on
the SFS.

Problem Summary

In a DB2 Mirror environment an independent ASP (IASP) containing
user-defined file systems was registered and was varied on to
the server file system (SFS) of a Db2 Mirror pair. An IPL was
performed on the client file system (CFS) of that pair. After
the IPL was complete a vary off was done of the IASP on the SFS.
After the vary off completed the IASP mount over directory still
existed on the CFS. The mount over directory doesn't exist on
the SFS.

Problem Conclusion

An internal indicator was not correctly set when the Db2 Mirror
environment for the IASP was reestablished after the IPL of the
CFS.
The PTF corrects the problem.
