Abstract
OSP-OTHER F/QYASPVARY T/QYASPACT MSGCPFB8E5 IASP VARY ON FAILS
Error Description
Due to a very small timing window, the vary on of an IASP could
fail with CPFB8E5. The timing window comes into play when
internal processing checks a bit and expects a certain value to
allow vary on processing to continue. Some of the internal
processing was being performed asynchronously and so the bit
wasn't set to the correct value at the specific time.
Code will be enhanced to allow synchronous processing and
should eliminate the window altogether.
Possible Work Around: Vary the IASP off from the failed state
then vary the IASP on again.
Problem Summary
Please see see the Error Description section.
Problem Conclusion
Code was enhanced to allow synchronous processing which
eliminates the timing window.
