Abstract

OSP-OTHER-F/STRINGHIGHUSE4K-T/QCSTADCMN-MSGMCH0601 MSGMCH0601
ENCOUNTERED IN ADMIN DOMAIN JOBLOG.

Error Description

There is a possibility to encounter MSGMCH0601
F/stringHighUse4K T/QCSTADCMN in the admin domain joblog
causing the job to fail and may subsequently lead to a hang in
the admin domain. This could occur when doing a STRCLUNOD,
STRCAD or ADDCADNODE.

The way to potentially correct the issue:
1. CHGCLURCY *END to end admin domain job on all nodes (may
need to run
twice)
2. Make sure no QCLUSTER user jobs for admin domain are active
on all nodes
3. END other CRGs
4. ENDCLUNOD *ALL
5. STRCLUNOD - one node at a time and monitor admin domain job
threads
and wait for no RUN status.
6. STRCAD
7. Start other CRGs

Problem Summary

There is a possibility of encountering MSGMCH0601
F/stringHighUse4K T/QCSTADCMN in the cluster administrative
domain joblog, causing the job to fail. This may subsequently
lead to a hang in the cluster administrative domain. This could
occur when doing a STRCLUNOD, STRCAD or ADDCADNODE.

The way to potentially correct the issue:
1. CHGCLURCY *END to end admin domain job on all nodes (may need
to run
twice)
2. Make sure no QCLUSTER user jobs for admin domain are active
on all nodes
3. END other CRGs
4. ENDCLUNOD *ALL
5. STRCLUNOD - one node at a time and monitor admin domain job
threads
and wait for no RUN status.
6. STRCAD
7. Start other CRGs

Problem Conclusion

The MSGMCH0601 escape message will no longer be sent at cluster
administrative domain start time.
