Abstract
OSP-DB-OTHER INSERTS OF BLOB FIELDS TO IBM I DATABASE FROM A
LUW SYSTEM WILL NOT INSERT OR BE TRUNCATED TO 512KB SIZE.
Error Description
Inserts of BLOB fields to IBM i database from a LUW system will
not insert or be truncated to 512kb size.
Problem Summary
Inserts of BLOB fields to IBM i database from a LUW system will
not insert or be truncated to 512kb size.
Problem Conclusion
When the remote server is LUW, the buffer size for fetching the
data was not big enough, resulting in truncation. This has been
fixed.
