Abstract
OSP-OTHER-UNPRED AFTER DISABLING IPV6 SYSTEM STILL DOING DNS
QUERIES IPV6 TYPE. WAS FOUND THIS IS COMING FROM MGTC
Error Description
After disabling IPv6 system still doing DNS queries IPv6 type.
Was found this is coming from MGTC. There are several places to
call the API getaddrinfo() in MGTC.
Problem Summary
After disabling IPv6 that the system is still doing DNS queries
of IPv6 type. A trace was found the queries were coming from
Management Central.
Problem Conclusion
The Management Central should set the AI_ADDRCONFIG flag on the
getaddrinfo() call, to prevent IPv6 queries when no IPv6 source
addresses are configured on the system.
