Abstract
OSP-OTHER-INCORROUT TOOLBOX JDBC WITH BATCHED INPUT PARAMETERS
COMPRESSES INCORRECTLY
Error Description
If the Toolbox JDBC driver connects to an IBM i server at
current PTF levels, it will by default use varying length field
compression for input parameters. If any of the input
parameters are VARCHAR CCSID 65535 or VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA, the
compression routine will not properly compress these
parameters. This will result in data not aligning correctly, so
the error received from the host may vary. In the first
reported problem, the error was:
SQL0423 - Locator *N not valid
Problem Summary

was:

Problem Conclusion
The Toolbox JDBC driver has been updated to correctly compress
VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA and VARCHAR CCSID 65535 data types.
