Abstract
SQL-RUN-INCORROUT LIMITING ACCESS TO SQL UPDATE IS MISSING
Error Description
The customer wants to limit specific user to the SQL UPDATE
command. However the UPDATE option is missing at R710.
for example:
STRQM
10. Work with Query Manager profiles
Select 2=Change in front of a profile
Page down to the last page and specify "Y" for Select allowed
SQL statements.
Page down to the last page and "UPDATE" is no longer
available on the Select Allowed SQL Statements screen.
Problem Summary
The customer wants to limit specific user to the SQL UPDATE
command. However the UPDATE option is missing at R710. for
example: STRQM 10. Work with Query Manager profiles Select

specify "Y" for Select allowed SQL statements. Page down to the
last page and "UPDATE" is no longer available on the Select
Allowed SQL Statements screen.
Problem Conclusion
With this fix, the SQL UPDATE statement will be listed as an
allowed statement in the Select Allowed SQL Statements function
of product 5770ST1 DB2 for IBM i Query Manager.
