Abstract
OSP-BASEDIR-INCORROUT IBM i Navigator tasks on the Web
Error Description
OSP-BASEDIR-INCORROUT IBM i Navigator tasks on the Web
Problem Summary
When multiple servers are added to the server application list,
(via IBM i Navigator Task Groups --> Backup, Recovery and Media
services--> Advanced--> Backup Control Groups--> Click on any of
the displayed control groups --> Click "Before" button --> Enter
"STRTCPSVR" command in "Run system command"--> Click "Prompt"
button), only the last added server is shown in the final
generated CL command string.
When selecting multiple performance collection items from the
performance collection list and then attempting to perform an
action upon those collection items , (via IBM i Navigator Task
Groups --> Performance --> Collections --> Select multiple
performance collection items) , an error message is generated
and the action is canceled.
When selecting command prompt, (via IBM i Navigator Task Groups
-> System -> Run a Command -> Enter "DSPPTF" command -> Click
"Prompt" button ), the prompt action is not performed as
expected
A new feature has been added to the LDAP server by PTF SI44696
to better support high availability by allowing the LDAP server
to be part of an independent auxiliary storage pool (IASP). IBM
i Navigator Task Groups have been updated to support creating,
configuring and deleting LDAP instances within an IASP.
When prompting for a command in a control group of BRMS plugin
(via IBM i Navigator Task Groups --> Backup, Recovery and Media
services--> Advanced--> Backup Control Groups--> Click on any of
the displayed control groups --> Click "Before" button --> Enter
"ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*DHCP *DNS)" command in "Run system
command"--> Click "Prompt" button), the first server of the list
is shown in Server Application field.
When exporting a chart from Investigate Data, (via IBM i
Navigator Task Groups --> Performance --> Investigate Data -->
Display chart -> Select Action --> Export --> Select
User-defined range --> Click OK ), in some instances the export
does not succeed, and an error message is generated indicating
"There was an error exporting the data". The problem is with the
calculated Last Record Number, which is larger than it should be
when the chart is built with a breakdown dimension.
When modifying the SQL within Investigate Data, (via IBM i
Navigator Task Groups --> Performance --> Investigate Data -->
Display chart -> Select Action --> Modify SQL), after editing
the SQL statement ORDER BY clause, the ORDER BY clause may grow
with duplicate domain order clauses (such as CSDTETIM ASC)
Problem Conclusion
This PTF fixes the command problem when creating CL command
string for commands with multiple-value parameters.
This PTF fixes the action problem when selecting multiple
performance collection items.
This PTF fixes the command prompt problem that the Product ID
and its description are both list out after selecting "Prompt"
when "Run a Command" using DSPPTF
This PTF adds the feature to support LDAP instances on IASP.
This PTF fixes the command prompt problem in a control group of
BRMS plugin that the first server name is shown in the Server
Application field when specifying more than one server names in
the command.
This PTF fixes the calculation for the Last Record Number
provided on the User-defined range of the export panel.
This PTF prevents multiple duplicate ORDER BY fields from being
generated. Modify SQL will not allow to sort the domain or
breakdown dimension fields for the chart in descending order
(DESC). A message will be generated in the log files when
modification is attempted of these fields.
