Abstract

AMQZLSA0 JOB DOES NOT RUN UNDER USER-DEFINED SUBSYSTEM

Error Description

On System i, users can define their own subsystem and run
specific queue manager jobs inside these subsystems. It has
been discovered that the AMQZLSA0 will not run in a user defined
subsystem.  It will only run in the QMQM subsystem even
after changing the required job descriptions.  All other
queue manager jobs will run under user defined subsystem.

Problem Summary

****************************************************************
USERS AFFECTED:
WMQ users trying to run their queue manager jobs under a
user-defined subsystem.

Platforms affected:
iSeries

****************************************************************
PROBLEM SUMMARY:
In order to run under a user-defined subsystem, WMQ checks the
queue manager library to see if there are user created job
descriptions for each job. WMQ was not properly checking queue
manager library when Execution Controller agent AMQZLSA0 was
started. Therefore, that job was attempting to run under QMQM
subsystem.

Problem Conclusion

Code has been modified to have AMQZLSA0 job execution first
check the queue manager library.
